How to fill your windscreen washer tank

Driving with a dirty windscreen is extremely dangerous as it affects your vision. Be safe on the road by always keeping your windscreen clean and making sure your washer tank is full of fluid.

To fill your windscreen washer tank, first open the bonnet and look for the windscreen washer tank. The lid of the windscreen washer tank is usually labelled with words or a symbol showing two sprouts of water.

Add the windscreen washer fluid which can be purchased in any car parts shop or filling station. The fluid contains a detergent to clean your windscreen and plain water should only be used when washer fluid is not available. In cold weather, use a solution containing antifreeze to prevent it from freezing on the windscreen and in the tank. Remember to fill up the washer fluid regularly and always fill the tank to the maximum level.
