MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE IS PARKED ON A LEVEL SURFACE,THE IGNITION IS SWITCHED OFF AND THE ENGINE IS COLD.

OPEN THE VEHICLE BONNET AND IDENTIFY THE OIL DIPSTICK WHICH IS USUALLY LOCATED NEAR THE CENTRE OF THE ENGINE.THE OIL DIPSTICK IS A LONG PIECE OF METAL WITH A LOOP AT ONE END.PULL THE LOOP AND DRAW THE DIPSTICK ALL THE WAY OUT.WIPE THE DIPSTICK WITH A PAPER TOWEL OR CLOTH AND INSERT THE CLEAN DIPSTICK BACK INTO ITS ORIGINAL LOCATION.LEAVE THE DIPSTICK INSERTED FOR 10 SECONDS AND THEN PULL IT BACK OUT AGAIN HOLDING IT HORIZONTALLY IN FRONT OF YOU.LOOK AT THE POINTY END OF THE DIPSTICK WHERE YOU WILL SEE A MAX LEVEL AND A MIN LEVEL.THE OIL LEVEL SHOULD BE APPROXIMATELY HALFWAY BETWEEN THESE TWO LEVELS.IF THE OIL LEVEL IS CLOSE TO THE MIN LEVEL ,THEN YOU NEED TO ADD SOME ENGINE OIL.ADD OIL BY UNSCREWING THE OIL FILLER CAP,WHICH IS ABOUT 3″ IN DIAMETER AND IS LOCATED ON THE VERY TOP OF THE ENGINE AND IS USUALLY MARKED WITH THE WORDS “ENGINE OIL”.CHECK THE OIL LEVEL WITH THE DIPSTICK AFTER ADDING OIL AND ADD MORE IF NECESSARY.PUT THE OIL FILLER CAP BACK ON AND SECURE IT TIGHTLY.
